Paul Nowlen, who resides on campus here, was blessed with a visit of his son, Jeff, which he had not seen in four years. After a brief teaching about obedience, Paul, for the first time in the 49 years of Jeff's life, gave him the father's blessing.

DOES HE KNOW YOU?

Every Christian knows the Lord, so to speak, just like everyone knows the president of the United States. But, in the Bible, we read the Lord saying to spiritual virgins and religious workers, "I don't know you." It's crucial that He knows us more than we know Him.

OBEDIENCE

There is nothing more important and valuable than obedience. Obedience's call is not always logical or even sensible (like the Son of God going to the cross). Religion has driven believers to do things not commissioned by the Lord. Even serving God can be lawlessness.

Is There Not a Cause?

David killed a lion and a bear which qualified him to slay the giant and become king over Israel. He understood the need to cleanse the land of all the Philistine giants so there could be peace in Israel and the temple could be built. So it is with our Israel (the church and us). There is a cause and a purpose for deliverance.
