IS THE EARTH SCREAMING?

The Word of God makes it plain that what people do in or on the land affects it. Eventually, when people continue to sin (do wicked and perverse things) upon their land, the land itself will spew or vomit them out.

 “You shall therefore keep all My statutes and all My judgments, and perform them, that the land where I am bringing you to dwell may not vomit you out.” (Lev. 20:22 NKJ)

This warning from God comes primarily in reference to sexual sins committed upon the land. Read this and understand the Word of the Lord:

^“The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, he who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress, shall surely be put to death. ^The man who lies with his father’s wife has uncovered his father’s nakedness; both of them shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them. ^If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death. They have committed perversion. Their blood shall be upon them. ^If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them. ^If a man marries a woman and her mother, it is wickedness. They shall be burned with fire, both he and they, that there may be no wickedness among you. ^If a man mates with an animal, he shall surely be put to death, and you shall kill the animal. ^If a woman approaches any animal and mates with it, you shall kill the woman and the animal. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood is upon them. ^If a man takes his sister, his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter, and sees her nakedness and she sees his nakedness, it is a wicked thing. And they shall be cut off in the sight of their people. He has uncovered his sister’s nakedness. He shall bear his guilt. ^If a man lies with a woman during her sickness and uncovers her nakedness, he has exposed her flow, and she has uncovered the flow of her blood. Both of them shall be cut off from their people.^“You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister nor of your father’s sister, for that would uncover his near of kin. They shall bear their guilt. ^If a man lies with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered his uncle’s nakedness. They shall bear their sin; they shall die childless. ^If a man takes his brother’s wife, it is an unclean thing. He has uncovered his brother’s nakedness. They shall be childless.” (Lev. 20:10-21 NKJ)

Such sins as adultery, incest, bestiality and homosexuality bring judgments or curses upon those who commit such. We see it almost every day. Many of those who reach out to us for ministry because of serious oppression in their lives have a history of abuse and/or perversity in their family. Some of the stories are almost incredulous to hear.

These sins not only affect the persons’ lives, but also affect the property or land upon which the sins are committed.

“Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. ^For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants. ^You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you ^(for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), ^lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you. ^For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people.” (Lev. 18:24-29 NKJ)

As you can see, such sin defiles the land causing it to react with repulsion. This could be why some people lose their homes or farms. This could also be the reason we are seeing the earth shaking with earthquakes and spewing out fire and ashes. The earth is being defiled by the sins of the nations and reacting according to Word of the Lord, God.

When I first saw the above photo, I immediately thought, “The earth is screaming!” The weight of wickedness is just too much.

God admonishes us: “You shall not walk in the statutes of the nation which I am casting out before you; for they commit all these things, and therefore I abhor them.” (Lev. 20:23 NKJ)

Anyone can be delivered from the effects and curses of sexual sin, whether the sin is by oneself or others. Many, including myself, have been affected by the sexual sins of their ancestral fathers and have inherited the same lusts and desires as they had. Although, they have become Christians, they still fall into same ancestral family swamp. Abusers spawn abusers. The abused crumble and hand the baton of being battered to the next generation—and so on and so on.

The Good News is that Jesus came and died on the cross so we could put a stop to this. He became curse for us to redeem us from this stuff, but we must appropriate it for ourselves. It is not a done deal until we do the deal.

It starts with repentance, not only for ourselves as believers, but also in behalf of our ancestors. Actually, we own their sins, but like the Israelites, when we confess them as our own to the Lord, and He readily forgives them.

Then we can appropriate what Jesus did for us. We must literally speak out and break the curses that are affecting our lives. “In the Name of Jesus, I break this curse of ________________ (speak-out whatever is manifesting in your life).”

It works! Through the years, I have seen countless breakthroughs in believers’ lives as they have done this.

There is little we can do about the sins of the nations and the effects worldwide, but we certainly can start in our little world and make a difference in our personal lives, families, homes, Local Bodies and communities lest our earth begin to scream our against us.

“And he will turn

The hearts of the fathers to the children,

And the hearts of the children to their fathers,

Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” (Mal. 4:6 NKJ)
