• A MIRACLE OF LIFE

    Stephen Bell

It's been quite a month here at the key, so far.

As some of you might know, David and Brooke Staton moved here from Wisconsin with their four children some months ago. They were pregnant when they arrived. All four of their children were born by cesarean, and Brooke had never experienced birth contractions. She kept saying, “I have never had a baby.” So it was she and David's desire to experience natural childbirth.

Although, through the past 30 years, we have experienced many home births with complete and blessed success, there was some concern for Brooke due to her birthing history. But she and David were determined that it was the will of God for them to trust Him to safely bring forth their baby. So all of us in the local body here stood in agreement with them and, of course, began to pray and put our trust in our faithful Heavenly Father.

All of our guest rooms and apartments on the campus are designated by names instead of numbers. We decided to give them spiritual names such as Zion, Jubilee, Joy, Hope and Faith. By no coincidence, the Staton’s ended up residing in Faith and, by faith, they walked through this pregnancy to victory.

BABY ADA Little Ada Jane came at about 11:00 am on Thursday the eleventh of this month on as did a record breaking snow for us here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. Although, Brooke’s contractions were twenty minutes apart, the baby came forth, almost suddenly. During the process of contractions which lasted about thirty-six hours, the Holy Spirit revealed some issues needed to be addressed before there could be a release for the birthing. This is something we have seen over the years with our involvement with home (or Zion) births. Amazingly, David had a full beard and the Lord revealed it had to do with some religious spirits and pride. When the word of correction came, he immediately jumped up and shaved the beard. This cleared the way for the father of Ada to receive her into his hands. Amazing, I know, but we have seen such over and over again through the years of supporting God’s couples who wanted to believe Him for getting a child safely here.

I have become convinced through all of these and experiences (there have been many), that the bringing forth of a child like this is a tremendous spiritual experience. As nothing else, it bonds the parents together and lets them see the power of God coming into their lives. It also reveals the influence of the spiritual realm in their lives. When the couple is willing to believe God and take care of every spiritual issue in their relationship, the baby always comes safely and in peace. There is no tearing or tragedies. We have no horror stories when the couple humbles themselves and listens to the Lord.

Sometimes, at the point of delivery, we have had to pray for discernment because the baby wasn’t coming forth. The Holy Spirit has never failed to reveal what needed to be addressed, and when that was taken care of, here comes a healthy, peaceful child. There is hardly any greater miracle to witness. What a joy!
The birth of a child is one of the greatest spiritual events that can be. God meant it to be this way, but many have turned away from this kind of faith and missed what the Lord does when a couple looks to Him for getting their baby here. Every dad who catches his child and sees the travail of his wife and mother of his child is never the same after the experience. It is for wonderful bonding between father and child and husband and wife.

We rejoice for this new life in our midst. We all have witnessed the transformation in David and Brooke since that snowy day.

    Isn’t God great?

    Steve

P.S. Mother and baby are doing great!

Praise The Lord! It is wonderful to see this and to have another proof of God's faithfulness. May our Lord and saviour bless this child and her parents!

We have a new family member at KEY body. Praise God for His way of bringing a new life into the world and blessing the Staton family with a real natural birth in a place of peace, joy and FAITH. Our 2 sons were both born by natural means at home, the birth assisted with midwife s in 1975 and 1977 and though we did not have the deeper understanding of home births that we do now it was a good thing to see our 2 sons come into this world without all the machines, personnel and other "things" surrounding us. So we say to the Statons - a miracle birth has taken place and we ALL rejoice with you folks. There is joy here and joy in heaven., Praise God for His ways of doing things. Speed the day that everyone will see how God wants things done, decently and in order. That day will come I believe and soon.
