SIGNS AND TREES AND DREAMS
For those of you that visit our website regularly, you realize it's been a few days since we've added anything new. I'm glad to tell you that today I've been able to add two new teachings that you see listed under our latest recordings. The first teaching is about signs and trees. The two don't seem to go together, but this is how the Holy Spirit led me in our Saturday morning Bible teaching.
When I finally learned about how God uses signs in our life, I was amazed as I began to see them in my personal life almost daily. I also came to realize God was giving me signs even when I was not walking with him. He does this with everybody if they can see it. Our God is certainly sovereign, but he is also very loving and intimately involved in all of our lives whether we recognize it or not.
As I have been doing a study in the first five books of the Old Testament, I began to realize how often the Terabinth tree is mentioned. A little research revealed some very interesting information about this particular tree. The pagans considered this tree to be sacred. Of course, today, and especially during this season we are in, people still venerate certain trees, especially the Christmas tree. Most folks do not realize how this tradition began and where it came from. It is certainly, by no stretch of the imagination, a Christian or just Godly symbol, but tradition and superstition still prevail, even in our so-called modern, technological society. You might want to take the time to research this for yourself.
Like the few righteous Kings in the Old Testament, there are some of us today who want to be sure that every high place of idolatry and tradition are torn down and destroyed out of our land. I'm talking about the land of our personal lives. So such matters as these become very important to us in our quest to honor our Heavenly Father. Some don't understand this. But that's okay.
I hope you do.
P.S. I also hope you listen to the prophecy given to us this past Sunday. It’s a warning to all.
