• A BLESSED TRIP

    Stephen Bell

If you're on our mailing list, you know that I recently traveled to Georgia and North Carolina to see some of the brethren there. It's taken me a while to get around to giving a final report about this trip.

First of all I want to share a photo with you of the Morris family. Not everyone was present when I shot this photo in their living room near Murphy, North Carolina. They are a beautiful family who love and serve the Lord.

Here's a picture of my namesake, Michael Stephen Morris, who, his father tells me, is a very sharp little guy. We were involved in the spiritual warfare that was required during his birthing. Looks like the Lord did a very good job in bringing forth this young man's life.

Here's Jimmy McCollum, who presently lives in Asheville, North Carolina. If you remember I wrote the last report, on his computer during my visit with him. We had a great time talking about the Scriptures and the Lord. He also served me a wonderful meal that included roast lamb. All of us here at the key are looking forward to Jimmy's arrival here to be a permanent part of our local body.

The drive down from the Asheville area was beautiful. Every day I had picture-perfect weather. The mountains of North Carolina have a look like no others. Photos can hardly capture their grandeur.

Monday evening, after another great meal out of Sharon Beutel's kitchen, some other folks gathered in for a time of sharing the word and some worship. I was somewhat surprised about, what the Holy Spirit led me to talk about. It was some pretty heavy stuff, but as you know, we are now living in pretty heavy times. It's time to grow up. It's time to be ready. It's time to be matured.

Although my flight home from Atlanta was two hours late in leaving, I was blessed to arrive home safely and have time to get ready to gather with the brethren for our Tuesday night meeting. Thank you for your prayers and support. May the Lord bless you, and I look forward to a time when I can sit and share with you also. What a good God we serve.
